About This Project

A curious red-haired rat builds a ladder to the cheese moon, embarking on a generational plan to affirm her abuela’s belief that the moon is, in fact, made of cheese. Many children of immigrants can relate, aspiring to fulfill the dreams that their parents sacrificed, and this theme was particularly important to our Co-Director Mathew as his experience as a Colombian American. Colombia is a vibrant, beautiful country and it is important to us that we contribute to the positive representation of the culture for all audiences. Below includes images of Mathew's family in Colombia that was a the direct inspiration for the film.
